 CPA Antonio J. Colón 

Mr. Antonio Colón, COO, brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously served as an auditor and business consultant with Arthur Andersen. During his tenure, he successfully managed engagements across diverse industries such as telecommunications, insurance, real estate development and management, and banking.

His expertise extends to leading the valuation and acquisition of numerous companies throughout Latin America, demonstrating his proficiency in navigating complex business landscapes. Mr. Colón's international experience includes residencies in Venezuela and Argentina, where he honed his fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

In addition to his corporate endeavors, Mr. Colón has made significant contributions to various projects. He spearheaded the development of a tax credit low-income housing initiative and was involved in the production of a feature film.

​

For a span of seven years, Mr. Colón served as the manager of an electricity investment fund, overseeing operations across prominent markets such as ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, and NEISO. Furthermore, he currently manages a fund dedicated to offering tax incentives to non-US investors interested in Puerto Rico.

 Kiley Sampson

During his illustrious career, Mr. Sampson spent 18 years at sea, gaining firsthand experience and insights into various marine operations. For the past 22 years, he has been actively involved in marine operations, overseeing a wide spectrum of activities within the maritime sector.

Mr. Sampson's expertise spans across multiple domains, encompassing vessel engineering, vessel management, vessel construction (including dry docks and conversions), marine construction, and oil and gas operations. His extensive technical knowledge and practical experience equip him with a comprehensive understanding of marine vessels and operations.

His career trajectory can be delineated into three distinct phases, each contributing to his profound expertise and proficiency in the field:

  1. Vessel Engineer and Vessel Management: Mr. Sampson has been intricately involved in the engineering and management of various vessels, ensuring their optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.

ERIC SANCHEZ, CPA

Mr. Sanchez worked for three years in Ernst & Young’s  New York Financial Services Office, where he provided assurance services to private equity funds, hedge funds and mutual funds.

 

Mr. Sanchez subsequently returned to his native Puerto Rico and began working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he provided assurance services to private equity funds, banks and manufacturing clients.

 

In 2010, Mr. Sanchez accepted the position of Controller at Rock Solid Technologies, a software developing and service providing company, where he was responsible for financial reporting.

 

In January 2012, Mr. Sanchez was hired as a Controller of Great Bay Energy LLC, where he managed the financial reporting, FERC and markets compliance reporting, and risk monitoring.

 

In July 2015, Mr. Sanchez became the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Great Bay Global LLC.

Maria Montañez

Mrs. Montañez is the founder of Dataworks Consulting Group, a technology company that focused on technology advisory, financial systems implementation, custom development and operation support. She began her career in Arthur Andersen in 1992 were for three years gained experience in communications, real estate, pharmaceutical and distribution industries. In 1996 she started working with SC Johnson, where she led the finance, procurement and distribution areas for the Puerto Rico and the Caribbean region until 2000 when she left to develop an IT consulting practice.  

 

Her extensive experience developing financial operations strategy, budget management, metrics, risk planning and human capital management together with technology innovations has  resulted an agile, cutting edge consulting practice.

 

Mrs. Montañez has served for 13 years on the Board of Directors of an educational non for profit organization where she was Chairman for 5 terms.

 

EDUCATION

Mrs. Montañez, a CPA received a Bachelor in Business Administration with honors  in 1991.

SONIA M. TORRES, PE

Detail–driven Professional engineer with over 35 years of experience, BS in Civil Engineering. Work experience includes structural and civil engineering design, review, and inspection. Project management of construction and Real Estate projects, Development and supervision of Environmental audits, Hazard Mitigation, Grants Management and Public Works projects

 

Management of Public Work Projects- In charge of reviewing, managing, and coordinating capital improvement projects within the City while ensuring compliance with city regulations and design standards.

Development and Management of Grants (LAP, FDOT, FEMA, CDBG)

Review of Design documents, Permits for compliance with City and State standards.

Performed field inspections at all stages of the project from pre-construction to completion.

Responsible for the selection, contractual arrangements and implementation of services performed by contractors.

Research and preparation of reports relating to City policies and procedures affecting the maintenance, improvement, and use of public right-of-way and City owned facilities.

FERNANDO RODRIGUEZ, PE

With over 30 years of experience Fernando has been an assiduous contributor of ideas and new approaches to analysis and business modeling to leaders in the Telecom industry including;

Innovattel LLC, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Telefonica and as a consultant to Mformation, Cisco, Avaya, and Motorola Solutions.

As CFO & VP M&A for a network infrastructure company, he ran the finance operations of seven countries and led the financing of ten projects, securing over $200 million for the company.  Fernando also led the merger and acquisitions team, completing the sale of over ten tower portfolios across Latin America.

 As Sales VP International at Lucent’s  AT&T Customer Business Unit, he was in charge of sales and delivery to all AT&T’s international business activities, which included seven ventures across North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia /Pacific, supervised over twenty direct resources including Sales Directors, Bell Labs Members of Technical Staff and Project Managers, and was responsible for annual revenue of US$120 M and operating budget of US$5M.

At Innovattel he brings his financial acumen and operational experience to evaluate, quantify and monetize opportunities through the region.

 

EDUCATION

Mr. Fernando Rodriguez has an MBA with a concentration in Finance and a BSEE from the University of Puerto Rico. He completed the Senior Management Programe at Henley Management College in the UK and has approved course work at the Master of Risk Management and Financial Mathematics at Florida International University.

PEDRO ENCARNACION CPA

Mr. Encarnacion has over 30 years of experience working in a variety of industries in different financial and operational roles.  In 1987, he started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. Assurance and Business Advisory Division where he achieved a Senior Manager position.  He managed all phases of client consulting and assurance engagements and projects from the selling, planning, supervision, administration and conclusion of mainly Fortune 500 companies and major Puerto Rico companies in the manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceutical, advertising and entertainment industries, among others. In 1996, he was part of the team responsible for the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of main telecommunications company in Venezuela.

 

In 1997 to a Director of Investment Finance and Accounting for BellSouth International based in Atlanta, Georgia.  His main responsibilities included the monitoring of the financial performance of the international operations of BellSouth in 14 countries, mainly in Latin America.  He accepted was is assignment in Bogota Colombia as Corporate Controller.  He was a key member of the team that established strategies and developed policies to achieve the goals of the leading wireless telecommunications company in the country. 

 

In 2005, he became the Senior Director and Corporate Controller for Onelink Communications, the main Cable TV operator in the Island.  He directed and managed all aspects of corporate financial reporting and a broad range of strategic, financial and operational issues.  This position required activities and relationships with outside auditors, board members, bankers, analysts and financial consultants.

 

In 2009, Mr. Encarnacion started his own consulting practice, assessing clients’ needs, issues and goals to develop customized metrics, strategies and solutions to help in problem solving, value creation, entity growth and improvement of  business performance. 

 

EDUCATION

Mr. Encarnacion graduated cum laude from University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with Major in Accounting and a Minor in Computer Sciences.  He became a CPA in 1989.
