Despite the appeal of carbon capture technology, many existing proposals lack realistic execution strategies. Current methods range from merely capturing CO2 to use as a gas in large-scale greenhouse applications, or re-burying it underground.

These alternatives are impractical for the maritime industry due to the limited space available on current shipping vessels, which are designed to maximize cargo capacity.

Our partner technologies are specifically designed to convert CO2 into a solid form, allowing for safe storage or use in other industrial processes that maintain the integrity of our carbon reduction achievements.






 

After removing carbon black using our advanced fuel emulsion technology, SJU employs proprietary methods to transform gaseous CO2 into a solid carbon byproduct.

This byproduct serves as a feedstock for carbon-based products, significantly reducing the environmental impact associated with carbon mining.
